Inspired by a magical movie

The movie Dirty Dancing was the surprise hit of the summer of 1987 and is still loved today. It boasts a soundtrack of early 60’s rock and pop favorites as well as the 1987 #1 hit “Time of My Life.” The Dirty Dancing Concert presents each song played from start to finish with a live band. The show includes hits from the Drifters, Frankie Vallie & the Four Seasons, Otis Redding, the Ronettes and many more. Our band performs these classics live with a full band, including established touring musicians, with lead and backup vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, saxophone and drums.

Set in the Catskills

Here in the Catskills, the film links us to our region’s history of shared summer fun and entertainment in these beautiful mountains. The film is set in the fictional Kellermann’s hotel, a stand-in for real-life Grossinger’s and places like it which served and employed generations over decades of summers. Our show continues this tradition.

The Show: You’ll have the time of your life

The Dirty Dancing Concert is a live musical performance with comedy that invites people to dress up and dance with us. The show takes about two hours and includes 23 songs, including “Time of My Life,” “Love is Strange”, “Some Kind of Wonderful”, “Wipeout”, “Hungry Eyes” and “Will You Love Me Tomorrow?”

Our audience will:

• Spend a Catskills summer night under the spell of Catkills’ summers past
• Dance to 7-piece band of accomplished NYC and local musicians
• Laugh along with our hosts with comedy credits from Comedy Central, CBS, Showtime and more
